Celebrate Recovery

Ministry Contact: Philip Johnson
Email: Celebraterecovery@ibcmarshall.com

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to encourage men and women of all ages to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives as we work our way along the road to recovery. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. By working the steps and applying biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually and eventually become free from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. This freedom creates joy, peace, and a stronger personal relationship with others and our loving and forgiving Higher Power, Jesus Christ. CR meets every Monday at 6:00 p.m.

Monday Night Schedule

  • 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. – Child Care Available (Birth – 6th Grade)

  • 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. – Meal

  • 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Large Group

  • 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. – Small Groups

  • 9:00 – 9:30 p.m. – Dessert and Coffee

LIFT Ministry

Ministry Contact: Patti Brady
Email: Lift@ibcmarshall.com

Our LIFT ministry is all about Loving Individuals and Families Together. We are committed to ministering to those in our community with special needs and their families. We provide many fun opportunities for them to be involved. Every third Thursday of the month we provide a respite program where we meet at the Grange and have worship, food, games, and lots and lots of fun! This ministry is such a blessing as we reach out to this wonderful group of people with the love of Christ.

Nursing Home Ministry

Ministry Contact: Julie Densmore

We are committed to supporting and ministering to the elderly in our community. We have a team that goes once a month to minister to residents of the Reunion Inn Nursing Home. They meet the third Saturday of every month from 2-4pm. They play games, have a Bible study, sing hymns, and build relationships. We have seen this ministry have a big impact on the lives of the residents as many are turning to Christ during their deepest times of need.

Prayer Ministry

Ministry Contact: Kathy Martin

We believe prayer is powerful and that it changes things. Prayer is simply communicating with our Heavenly Father. The Intercessory Prayer Ministry strives to facilitate and equip people in ways to help them strategically pray for others in need.

The Intercessory Prayer Room provides ways for members to be active participants in the prayer life of Immanuel and to provide outreach and prayer support for our Immanuel family, community, and the world. A rotation of intercessors commit to praying for one hour every week at the same time on campus. The Prayer Room is open seven days a week. To submit a prayer request simply call (903) 938-3900 or submit one to the office.

Missions Ministry

Ministry Contact: Dr. Jeremy Roberts

We take the Great Commission seriously and personally. Twenty percent of every undesignated dollar goes to mission causes outside our own church. With this money, we help support the vocational missionaries of the International Mission Board and the North American Mission Board. We support these missionaries through the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention. We also support the ministries of several other missionary efforts and para-church ministries both locally and globally. Our goal is to support missionary efforts in every continent of the world.

The desire of our church is for individuals to experience missions personally. We take annual mission trips to locations all over the world. Join us in our desire to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to Marshall, our State, our Country, and the World for the glory of His name!

Local Missions

Food Drop

The first and third Friday of every month we partner with the East Texas Food Bank to feed over 350 cars of people with fresh fruits and other foods. This is all done in the Meadowbrook Funeral Home parking lot. With this many people coming through, we need as many volunteers as possible. If you have any questions regarding this ministry or how to get involved, email Jeremy at jeremy@ibcmarshall.com.

Association Missions

Soda Lake Baptist Association is made up of area Baptist churches and mission congregations. They provide mission activities and training in cooperation with those churches. We support their counseling ministry in cooperation with Buckner Family Ministries and to further the work other local ministries of the association.

Marshall Pregnancy Center

This local ministry is committed to help women with crisis counseling both during and after pregnancy. They provide ultrasounds and other services which provide women the information they need in order to make the right decisions concerning their child.

Mission Marshall

Mission Marshall is a parachurch ministry here in Marshall, Texas. Their goal is to minister to the whole person – physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. We give and support this ministry through financial giving, food donations, and volunteer hours. Every week we send a team to Mission Marshall to help with their food pantry. If you are interested in volunteering, email jeremy@ibcmarshall.com.

North America Missions

Mexico Missions — Reapers International Missions:

Two percent of our money is sent to Reaper’s to help support Mexican pastors working on the field in Mexico. These pastors were trained in an institute that was established and maintained by missionaries sent into the country by Reapers. Our contribution is used to help with expenses in order to further the work of these local pastors in Mexico.

Mexico Orphanages:

Several orphanages in Mexico are funded by Texas mission causes, and we help with two of these. Two percent of our offerings each month are sent to Del Rio-Uvalde Baptist Association to be used to support the Bethesda orphanage and the Ninos de Piedras Negras.

SBC Missions Offerings:

One percent of our receipts is set aside each month and divided between the Mary Hill Davis Mission Offering for state mission work, the Annie Armstrong Mission Offering for mission work within the United States, and the Lottie Moon Mission Offering for international mission work. These offerings are dedicated 100% directly to work on the mission field.

Buckner Orphanage:

Buckner OrphanCare International supports Christian work with orphanages worldwide. We send a half percent of our income to help this cause, the orphanage in Romania in particular.

International Missionaries

We help support several families who serve in Colorado (reaching international students), Slovenia, India, and Moldova. They are making a huge difference within these locations as they are committed to planting churches and expanding the Kingdom of Christ among the nations. Our church is committed to supporting these ministries both through financial resources and people resources. We plan to send mission groups to these different locations in the near future.

Room to Grow

Ministry Contact: Brad Howlett

Room to Grow is all about connecting with low-income MISD students and providing them with a complete bedroom makeover. These elementary age students have been nominated by their teachers due to their high-achievements and personal character. We currently do four room makeovers a year and our favorite part is seeing how this makes a huge impact on their entire family. It is a great blessing to see so many people in our church be able to use their gifts to bring glory to God in this way.
